For some reason, creating my first podcast is a momentous moment for me and thus deserves a quick blog to decompress about the process. I know these are my fumbling, unpolished and dorky first steps but I’m proud I actually finished this podcast down memory lane, and learnt how to use an editing program and use my recording equipment. I was surprised at how smooth the process was and how fun creating all the elements was, in this dawn phase of my project.
Personally I think I had to get this first podcast out and live so I could move on with my thoughts, it wasn’t so much the content that I was concerned with in this initial episode although I hope it translates to a decipherable, enjoyable listen. But here’s to killing my darlings and progression through practice.
I’m still not sure how to unjumble my direction on who my audience is, I really do think at this stage that it is me, I initially set out to make podcasts to reflect on the interesting journeys of my life and as a way to not ruminate about lockdown. I have many talented, inspired friends whom I’d like to interview to capture the essence of this moment in time, through my little oral histories in this somewhat strange and daunting time.
My biggest downfall is getting swept up in my thoughts and losing the plot but that where you come in subject outline, you keep my sane and somewhat on track. Yippee !
